Hadley Part No. H700308-S10RF
Fits Hadley hubs with Shimano Style 8,9,10 speed freehubs that have 20mm inside diameter freehub ball bearings.
See photo of freehub, this is the original style that has no laser markings.
This retrofit conversion kit uses the 2020 axle and new bearings and spacers to adapt to this new axle.
Will not work with 2020 and newer Shimano Freehubs.
Special Tools Needed to install
Recommend using Hadley 18mm and 15mm open end thin wrenches
or you can use a ParkTool 15mm PW-5 pedal wrench in place of the Hadley 15mm
Kit includes a new bearing pre-load adjustment ring that requires a Hadley 29mm pin spanner wrench or equivalent.
Kit includes a new white plastic freehub ball bearing retainer that requires a Hadley 26mm pin spanner wrench.
Recommend using Hadley Tools to remove existing end caps.
Note: This conversion kit allows you to use a standard Hadley SDH hub on a Boost 148mm x 12mm frame but the hub flanges will not be spaced as far apart as the Hadley Boost dedicated H700148 hubs, so you will not get the same lateral stiffness as the Hadley H700148 hubs.
Re-dishing the wheel may be required since the axle on this adapter kit protrudes out 6mm more on the disc side than the drive side.
