For removal and installation of Shimano® Hollowtech II, Race Face® X-Type, FSA® MegaExo, Truvativ® Giga X Pipe and similar bottom bracket cups with 16 external notches.

The BBT-9 is also used to remove and install 8-point Hollowtech II crank arm adjusting caps.
